In this tutorial I will be showing you have to make a girls Bolero/Shrug. You will need 2 Skeins Worsted Weight Yarn 4-ply. (I am using Simply Soft by Caron) a Size I (9/5.50 mm) hook, scissors, and a yarn needle to weave in ends. This is made to fit a child but larger sizes can easily by chaining a longer foundation ch and adding more rows to the back piece. If it too short for you, you can continue to add rows while increase dc's used. In this video tutorial I will teach you how to make this gorgeous bolero / shrug. It can be sized for children all the way up to adult. You measure yourself to get a custom fit. Don't be afraid this is easy and looks great. Perfect for chilly evenings. You choose your yarn type and hook size. I used a medium weight yorsted yarn but found that this may be a little too thick. I suggest you use a lighter weight yarn or even perhaps some thick crochet thread. I used a J size hook, if you use a thread or thin yarn switch to a size H (5mm) hook. I added extra rows, but you can stop when it reaches your desired size. I was trying to hide my rear end..oh well..... Happy crocheting
Don't let the picture scare you. This really is EASY.. Here are the Easy to follow instructions for crocheting this shrug. Can be made using the single crochet, double crochet or even treble crochet. This only uses 3 stiches and is easy to make. This is the perfect shawl alternative. Use it as a cover up, shawl or just when you need something to keep the cold off your back. You choose your own color and type of yarn. I used an acrylic medium worsted yarn and a size L hook. Make one today it great when you need to wear something but don't want something too heavy. Great for your sleeveless blouses and dresses. If you make this using a nicer yarn such as caron silky or the yarns that have the glitter yarn in them this looks very elegant. Also can be made in black and worn over your little black dresses. The possibilities are endless. This is worked in one large rectangle and then sewen to create the arm openinings.. Check this one out. You will be hooked and probably make more than one in different colors. It should be ready in a couple of evenings. Also, this one is not the kind that contains tons of complicated counting, so it's perfect to do while watching TV or listening to music. If you want your own printed instructions they can be found at the Lion Brand Yarn website. Just sign up for their website and you can download tons of patterns. If you see something there you want me to make a video of just message me a request.
